Lifecycle and End of Support

New versions of uberAgent are released regularly. Expect multiple releases per year.


Customers have the right to always use the latest version as long as their maintenance is valid. uberAgent licenses are typically sold with the first year of maintenance included, additional years of maintenance must be purchased separately.

Example: Customer A buys uberAgent licenses on May 1st, 2018. Those licenses include maintenance until April 30th, 2019. Customer A has the right to deploy all versions of uberAgent released not later than April 30th, 2019. Additional maintenance must be purchased, however, in order to upgrade to any version of uberAgent released after April 30th, 2019.

Version Numbering

uberAgent releases have a four element version number, e.g. The first element denotes the major version, the second element denotes the minor version, the third element denotes the patch version and the fourth (last) element is the build number. The build number is only used internally to identify the exact build and not relevant for maintenance or end of life.

Release Type Information

Major and minor releases are releases where the major and/or minor version numbers are incremented. Patch/bugfix releases are releases where only the patch version number is incremented.

Major and minor releases typically contain a mix of bugfixes, improvements and new features. Patch/bugfix releases typically contain bugfixes and optionally improvements.

End of Life

uberAgent versions officially reach their end of life twelve months after the release of the next minor or major version.

Example: uberAgent 4.2.0 was released on October 16th, 2017. uberAgent 5.0.0 was released on March 6th, 2018. uberAgent 4.2.0 reaches the end of life twelve months after that on March 5th, 2019.


We provide support for current and old versions of uberAgent. Bugs are typically fixed in the next major or minor release. Critical bugs may be fixed immediately with a bugfix release. When a customer reports a bug in a version that has reached the end of life we may ask the customer to upgrade to a newer version that has not reached the end of life yet.
